As safe as it is sophisticated

The Epica is not only dynamic but it is also reassuring. A steel safety cage surrounds the car, providing reinforced protection in the event of a collision.

The Epica also features a host of safety features as standard, such as dual front airbags for the 2.0 litre version; dual front airbags and 2 side airbags for the 2.5 litre version, ABS, traction control and ISOFIX child seat safety fittings – so all you need to think about is where to drive next.

LOW PRESSURE AIRBAGS: The airbags inflate at a lower pressure level to prevent secondary injury on passengers, in particular children, the disabled and the elderly.

SEAT SIDE PROTECTOR: In the event of a side collision, the seat side protectors provide an added measure of protection.

SEAT BELT PRE-TENSIONER(LOAD LIMITER IMBEDDED): In the event of a collision, the seat belt’s pre-tensioner instantaneously pulls in and then releases the seat belt to prevent injury caused by the belt and to enhance the airbag’s effectiveness.

EARLY CONTACT SYSTEM: An advanced safety concept that guides the impact from a side collision to the hip area, which is the strongest part of the human body, and disperses it evenly.

ANTI LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM (ABS) AND TRACTION CONTROL (TC): A 4-wheel disc braking system with Anti Lock Braking System and Traction Control are fitted as standard.
